Daniel Tehrani is a PhD Candidate at the University of Georgia (UGA) in the Complex Carbohydrate Research Center (CCRC) in Dr. Kelley Moremen's research laboratory. He conducts research on understanding and altering the sugar specificity of glycosyltransferases (GT's) and elucidating the structure and mechanism of the human enzymes involved in chondroitin sulfate (CS) biosynthesis. His GT research focuses on enzymes in the CAZy families GT7, 31, and 47. He completed his Bachelors of Science degree in biology at Georgia State University in 2019.
