Kazune Tamura obtained his B.Sc. in Combined Honours in Biochemistry and Chemistry from the University of British Columbia in 2015. During this time, he completed an undergraduate thesis project in the lab of Dr. [[User:Harry Brumer|Harry Brumer]] where he stayed to complete his Ph.D. focused around the study of microbial utilization of common beta-glucans via polysaccharide utilization loci <cite>Tamura2017 Grondin2017 Tamura2019 Dejean2020 Tamura2021a Tamura2021b Jain2021 Behar2021 Golisch2021</cite>. He now applies his expertise in carbohydrate biochemistry and structural biology to the investigation of mechanisms of cell-cell adhesion in bacterial biofilms at the University of Oxford and MRC-LMB.

Kazune Tamura obtained his B.Sc. in Combined Honours in Biochemistry and Chemistry from the University of British Columbia in 2015.
