Please take a moment to read CAZypedia's copyright statement.

CAZypedia is intended to be a concise gateway to the key publications on individual CAZyme families or topics. Readers are therefore generally advised to cite the primary literature entries when possible. However, we recognize that it may be practical to cite CAZypedia pages directly in some cases (e.g. CAZypedians may wish to include their contributions in curricula vitae; space limitations in presentations may preclude extensive literature lists; etc.).

Individual articles (pages) in CAZypedia can therefore be cited, much as one would cite a review article or, perhaps more analogously, a book chapter. In the "toolbox" section (lower left corner) of all encyclopedic pages, you will find a link entitled Cite this page, which will give you the full bibliographic information for that page.

  • If you would like to include a reference to a CAZypedia page in a published work, please use something like the following format:

Page Author(s) "Page Title" in CAZypedia, available at URL http://www.cazypedia.org/, accessed date.

Kitaoka, M. and Fushinobu, S. "Glycoside Hydrolase Family 8" in CAZypedia, available at URL http://www.cazypedia.org/, accessed 11 August 2009.

  • The format should of course be altered to fit the style of the work in which you'd like to cite a CAZypedia article, but please make sure to include the following as a minimum:
  • Page Author(s)
  • Page Title
  • Reference to CAZypedia
  • The CAZypedia URL (http://www.cazypedia.org/)
  • The date you accessed the work.
  • If the publication in which you reference CAZypedia specifically requires that an editor be given, please use the Responsible Curator for the page.
